The launch of the Institut Choiseul Arabian Gulf in Doha — led by visionary entrepreneur Asma Sakil, Founder & CEO of The Sckali Group — marks a major step in strengthening strategic dialogue and knowledge-driven economic development across the GCC, in collaboration with Licorne Gulf and Choiseul France.
At the forum, I was reminded by Secretary Hillary Clinton’s of her timeless declaration in Beijing over 30 years ago:
“Women’s rights are human rights — once and for all.”
A sentence that reshaped global awareness and pushed gender equality to the centre of international discourse.
Meeting extraordinary leaders and thinkers here in Doha reinforced my belief that organisations like USIDHR hold a vital role in continuing this mission. One voice, when guided by truth and courage, can influence entire global movements.
Grateful to the Choiseul Arabian Gulf for creating a space where ideas evolve, bridges are built, and the future is shaped through dialogue.

Today’s world is no longer shaped by one power but by a fast-shifting, multipolar reality. The strategic triangle between the United States, China, and the Middle East demands wisdom, not fear — dialogue, not division. The United Kingdom must act as a constructive mediator, promoting peace, economic opportunity, and balanced cooperation across this evolving landscape.
From Egypt to Iran, from the Gulf to North Africa, our region carries a 5,000-year legacy of civilization, youthful energy, and cultural depth. The Middle East is not defined by conflict, but by potential — by resilience, intelligence, and an emerging new diplomacy.
My commitment is clear: expand peace education, advance human rights, support women and youth, strengthen international cooperation, and build bridges between East and West.
This is more than policy.
